Did anyone catch a programme on BBC Radio 4 earlier today about so called Genealogy Bounty Hunters ?

It seems there is a website (not known) which solicitors publish details of wills, complete with a list of those who are to inherit that they are trying to track down.

It told a story of a brother and sister who had a knock on the door, told their Mother who they had not seen for 30 years had died and in order to receive the inheritance they would have to sign about 30% of the inheritance away !!!! Out of shock the poor girl signed  Sad

In one case after "costs" the lady in question only received a third of the original total.  Sad Sad
