Hello,

I am seeking any information about the parents/siblings of Ellen D C Tucker (b 1859 Hastings) in 1861/1871 Census.

The birth in 1859 shows Ellen Debloislin Tucker. In 1882 she is shown as Ellen De Esquiolum Tucker when married to Robert Brydon Absalom at York. In 1918 shown as Ellen de C Absalom when died in Northumberland.

Any information would be appreciated. Thankyou.

Hi,
There is an entry on IGI for Ellens birth and baptism in 1859.
If it is correct then her parents would be Douglas Alfred and Emma Ann,
therefore this might be her in 1871.

Jackson Street, St Mary, Islington.

Douglas A Tucker head  m  48  Glass silver? maker        Surrey, ?
Emma A        "        wife m 36                                        Sussex, Clifton
Ellen             "        dau    12                                       Sussex, Hastings
Douglas F      "          son   8                                        Middlesex, Belgravia?
Alexandra J   "           dau  6                                         Surrey, Clapham

Cant find herin 1861 .

Just a little amendment to the birthplaces (perhaps my resource is a little clearer - they do vary in quality at times):

(1871) 66 Jackson Road, St Mary Islington

Douglas A TUCKER head mar 48 glass silver........... dealer b.Newington or Kennington Surrey
Emma A wife 36 b.Clifton Somerset
Ellen dau 12 b.Hastings Sussex
Douglas F son 8 b.Belgravia Middlesex
