The cook family

Does anyone know anything about the Cook Family who lived at Middletown Farm, Middletown, (Lowside Quarter Rd).
We know Bertha Cook lived there and she married a Robert Henry O'Neil.
They had a daughter who was born here Edith
( registration district Whitehaven (Egremont) )

There appear to be lots of Cooks in the Whitehaven area  Grin

Could you be more specific about:

a. birth dates of those involved (even if approximate)
b. what are you looking for, census returns (if so, what years?) or marriage or births .... ?

Lots of people are keen to help here, but it's always best to put as much detail in each of your posts so that you can get the most accurate results.

Look forward to hearing more about the Cooks! and hope we can help find them.

I have a birth cert for Edith Cook born 19th november 1926 and that her mother was Bertha Cook born approx 1901. I know that Bertha married Robert Henry O'Neil in 1926. From the Edith birth cert i know they were living at Middletown Farm. I think Bertha's parent were called William born 1870 and her mother Isobella (maiden name unknown born 1870.
I wish to find out more regarding Robert and Bertha, did they run the farm? was it a family farm?
Possible Isobella maiden name.
Did Isobella and William have anyother children?
May be info from the 1891 1881 or 1871 census?
