The IGI's list of extracted Marriages for Llangollen lists a Marriage of a Richard Evans and an Elizabeth Roberts to have taken place on the 24th of September 1831.As this does not quiite tally with the Birth of the eldest child Lydia from 1841,I will check out the Marriage in the Llangollen Parish Registers at the Rhosymedre Resource Centre of Clwyd FHS tomorrow.

Did you find anything in the Llangollen Parish Registers at the Rhosmedre Resource Centre of the Clwyd FHS, W.R.? It's not worth me looking if you've already checked. Paul.
Hi - further to this did anyone have chance to check this out?
Also does anyone have any info on where I should look for Elizabeth Roberts parents and family prior to 1841 census when she is shown married to Richard

Although I didn't get to Rhosymedre yesterday,as I was at the A N Palmer Museum at Wrexham this morning I looked it up there.The details given were pretty scant,it just says Richard Evans of Llansantfraid Glyn Ceiriog married Elizabeth Roberts of Llangollen on September 24th 1831.The Witnesses were Evan Hughes and Thomas Hughes.

The only Richard Evans bpt. around that time in Glynceiriog is:
13 Dec 1801 Richd Evans son of Hugh and Anne
A bit young given age on 1841 but a poss.

Thanks very much really appreciate it. Is there any info or website I could look for regarding Elizabeth Roberts of LLangollen as per marriage certificate as regards to siblings or parents.

I think Gadget would agree with me that it will be pretty difficult finding which particular Elizabeth Roberts it was.Its a very common name in the area.

Hi
The problem is that she was 40-44 on the 1841. That's 5 years worth of possible Elizabeths. I do have access to the Llangollen registers but I don't think I'll be able to identify the correct one.
