O'reilly's - Carrick on Suir

Richard O'reilly lived in Carrick on Suir before emigrating to Australia, he landed  in Morten Bay Queensland pre 1889.
I know he married in 1889 in Australia have looked many places he is no where to be seen.
Need help from someone with much more experience Grin
Any advise would be great.

Civil registration of births began in 1864 in Ireland and it's possible that Richard was born before this date.
Does his death certificate give place of birth or parents' names? If so you could start by doing parent search in IGI (www.familysearch.org) to see if any younger siblings are listed (IGI has many, not all, Irish births 1854-c1882). If you do find a sibling and get their birth certificate it will give you an exact place of birth (townland). From there you can search for church records (if they exist).

I JUST NEEDED SOMEWHERE TO START A DIRECTION A SUPPOSE. TRYING TO FIND RICHARD O'REILLY'S ARRIVAL TO AUSTRALIA HAS BEEN HOPELESS.
I DO NOT HAVE A COPY OF RICHARDS DEATH CERTIFICATE,BUT THAT WILL BE MY NEXT AVENUE
