Can anyone help with the early years of Alladine Ball, please
Alladine was christened 1 April 1836 in S Normanton notts (according to IGI ) -the record is entered in Pinxton parish church records Son of Joseph Ball and Elizabeth his occpation was Cordwainer/beerhouse keeper/Publican
he (possibly -probably ) had a brother Addison Ball christened 23 may 1841 S Normanton -I have Basford district birth reg for Addison 1840- have some information on Addison -but am not interested in more info at the moment.
Have a death reg for Alladine - transcribed Allodine Ball Mar qtr 1887 age 50 basford district 7b 69
Although I have no marriage reg Alladine appears on 1861 census in Annesley notts age 25 b S Normanton with wife Hannah age 23 b Selston Notts-no children (transcribed as Bull)-brother Addison married 1862 and there is a Hannah Wallis on same page - just to confuse matters. I know I could find Hannah's maiden name if I sent for birth cert of one of children -but my interest at the moment is in finding Alladine in his early years
1871 Alladine and wife Hannah and 3 children are in Selston (Alladine transcribed as Allison)
1881 Alladine Hannah and 5 children are still in same area.
I am looking for Alladine in 1841/51 census
in 1871 a possibility for Alladine's parents are in South normanton Notts Joseph Ball 70 coal Miner S normanton, wife Elizabeth 72 FFWK b. S Normanton and with them is Granddaughter sarah Fulwood age 16 RG10 3467 8633
I cannot find Joseph/Elizabeth in 1841/51/61 and cannot find granddaughter on any other census??
Alladine and wife hannah both died before 1891 I have their possible deaths -and in 1891 their youngest daughter martha is living with her brother Theodore at the Fox and owl PH Selston Notts???
Could anyone help find Alladine in 1841/51 and parents Joseph/Elizabeth in 184151/61 maybe brother Addison is with them???
Confusing family!!!!! Help very much appreciated
Suz

Thank you so much, tati - i think Im better at look ups for others than myself!!
I think the possiblities I had for Joseph and Elizabeth in 1871 with granddaughter are not the parents of Alladine - but are the same couple you found in 1861
I think joseph died before 1861 (there are a couple of possible death reg's ) and Eliabeth (b. Sutton) is a widow living alone in mansfield in 1861
I would not have been able to find this without your help -thank you sooooo much
