William Ernest Caddy

Can anyone give me any information on William Ernest Caddy who lived in Biddulph. Born 1886/7 one of 9 children.

I am also looking for any information on any of his brothers or sisters and a Beatrice Caddy born approx 1890 also of Biddulph

I can't see the Beatrice you mention. Was Caddy her maiden name?

Concerning William Ernest, do you want to trace him back? Do you already have census details for him?

Geroge C Caddy son 12 yrs
Joseph son 10 yrs
Martha Ann 8 yrs
Betsy 6 yrs
William E 4 yrs
Minnie 2 yrs
Sarah A 2 months

all children born Biddulph

Thomas' occupation not shown just a 'ditto' and the one above is a scholar!
The ages are what I can read- they have been crossed through when checking.
Looks as though Mary Ann had Arthur prior to marriage.

i can see two beatrice caddy births is staffs. do you knwo anything more about her - parents DOB /siblings etc

FreeBMD shows Beatrice marrying in 1909 so she probably was the girl registered in Dec 1884 Congleton as per Vronlady's find.

in the household of a William Bailey & family

I can't see her as Beatrice in 1891. My guess is that she was William's sister shown as Betsy age 6 in 1891. (The children's births seem to all show on Cheshire BMD but there's not Betsy/Elizabeth ...)
Her marriage cert would tell for sure ...

I did wonder if she could be Betsy but I did think that would be short for Elizabeth myself not Beatrice.

Also that explains why she was not there for the 1901 census already in service.

That answers some questions for me then.
