Mitchells in Sanger's circus

I have been amazed to find an ancestor, Annie Mitchell (born Foster 1870) as a circus performer in 1901. She was married to Leonard Mitchell and boarding in Grantham. I see Sanger's circus was there at the time. We have no family tradition of circus life. If anyone knows anything about the band or the circus, I should be interested.

You might like to read "70 Years a Showman" the autobiography of "Lord" George SANGER - you should be able to borrow it via your local library service.
