I have found a Richard Knight age 28 married to Sarah Ann on 1861 census living in pershore reg district
So maybe William mmarried mary Smith -nothing more than a guess
When you have posted William's details I am sure mum44 will sort it out for you

Pat - well, if William is the person married to Mary and with children Edith, John and Daniel in 1861, then it seems his wife was Mary Smith.
Unless someone has access to the records office in Worcestershire, the best was to confirm this would be to send for the marriage certificate - which will also give you the date and place of the marriage.
