Hi Edward D DAY was born Dec Q 1912 Lambeth father DAY mother MULLINS. (Free BMD)
Does anyone happen to know anything about him, have any connections?
I'm rather hoping his father might be John Miller Day and mother Edith Mullins, probaly baptised RC.
I'm looking for family GOING FORWARDS! Cheers Marlene

Hi Marlene,
A copy of the certificate would confirm his parents. FreeBMD does have 2 possible Day/Mullins marriages:
John Miller Day Sep 1903 Pancras 1b 353
one of the brides: Edith Mullins
Ernest Day Mar 1908 Romford 4a 531
one of the brides: Florence Rachel Mullins

Hi Nanny Jan I have the marriage cert of Edith to JM Day. I know they are "mine!" My problem is going forward from 1901 when I have NO names nor any knowledge of what or how many, if any, children were born to my great grandparents family members!
I have had remarkable success by just posting names on this board! So fingers crossed! I think there were too many churches around Lambeth to search for a Baptism although I am fairly sure this couple was RC which might limit it a bit! Cheers Marlene

Hi,
Where did Edith and John M marry? Why do you think they might be RC?
Have you found John M Day on 1901 census? Could Edward be a brother; marrying Edith's sister?

Hi Edith Mullins & John Miller Day married at St Dominics Priory, Pancras. One of the witnesses was presumably either his father or brother, both named Arthur.
In 1901 Edith was at 26 Beauchamp St Kensington with her step sister. I haven't got John.
Edith's sister married a widower Brown and I have all her information through to her death in 1955.
I'll just have to put the cert for Edward on my ever growing list! Cheers Marlene

Hi Alan Just out of curiousity... who were the parents of William James DAY?
My John Miller Day born 1876 had 2 brothers apparently born Sandy Bedford , and named Arthur c 1872 & Frederick c1873.
Parents of all 3 boys were Arthur Day and Eliza (nee Miller) married March 1871 Hendon. Cheers Marlene
