I've just found this lovely pic. To think that his little girl has grown up. grown old and passed on. Yet, thanks to that most wonderful invention,  photography, a moment in time has been frozen and we can still see her beautiful smiling eyes. She is immortal for so long as this photo exists.

Thankyou Tony

I agree... and fortunately I got to meet her in 1969, so I have my memories of her too for a few years. She was so excited when we announced our engagement and that she could see her eldest grandson married.

We have precious few photos of our grandparents and this one is a treasure.

Well done Paula, as you say a charmer and I see you also call her dear little Vera as I should have done  Smiley
Arrived home from an overnight trip out of town to another lovely restore and such nice comments from you all.
Thankyou Chrissi, Tanya and Rabbit B ....We can't thank our clever restorers enough for their time.

We think she is a little beauty and we're so pleased with everyone's efforts in cleaning and colouring. Thankyou all.
