Ancestry's 1911 census transcriber at work

Other Genes Reunited members have said my ancestor Charles Leng's c1780 parents were Thomas Leng and Elizabeth Raw, this is what Alan Leng says, Charles had one brother, George, who married Hannah HARLAND in Lastingham on 7 Feb 1815. Charles and George both appear to have had five children, each calling their eldest son William.  George's first son, William, was born and died in May 1815, and in July 1816 his second son, also William, was born and buried exactly seven days apart. A sad story from nearly 200 years ago! The recurrence of the name William strongly suggests that this was the paternal grandfather, but I can't prove this at this stage. 

Has anyone access to the Middleton/Lythe area records as on familyseach there isn't a birth for either Charles or George to confirm if their father is Thomas or William Leng
