Hi I am new here and live in New South Wales, australia. We have a very complete family history of the Shueards since the start of south Australia. The patriarch, Robert Shueard was born in 1813 in UK? and arrived in Adelaide from Tasmania about 1840's. We have recently disproved that he was Robert Seward, convicted in Norfolk and transported to Tasmania. We found that persons death record in Tasmania and our Robert was at least 6" taller. Despite searching all online birth records we can not find him. I am hopeful that someone on this forum has some link to him.

Hi Nazusvis, Yes George Shueard is related, he was my great grand Uncle. He was actually born in New Tiers on 29 Jun 1842. I have considerable information on the Shueard ancestors if you wish to contact me privately.

Yes, They had 3 children. George (1867-1941) Eliza Sarah (1868-1941) Florence May (1871-1871) The origin of Shueard is the big question. I can't find robert Shueards' birthplace. His name has been variously spelled Seward, Shuard and Shueard. The latter seems to have been favoured since about 1880.
