Thanks all
I have looked at the census returns and i cannot see how they could be mistaken (lillian--julia) but as you say they are not listed on any bmd site.
I have three more of this family who seem to have disappeared from the lists,the other seven were no problem.

anyway, underwhelming as these finds may be, I feel that little more can be achieved w/o the use of a crystal ball

Marguerite Lock King Sept Q 1897 Newcastle L 6b 89
Not sure who she is as I did not see her on any of the census finds.
I hope that it is not another name change.
