Can anyone help with details of the birth of Ellen Maud Runnacles 1895 in Little Livermere, Thingoe District. I think her father was Robert but unable to trace her mother. Thankyou Angela
I note from the ancestry 1901 transcription that Robert has been quoted as Ellen's father. However, looking at the original there is nothing to suggest this. Robert is 22 and unmarried as is their son William. Ellen is simply shown as Henry and Louisa's grand-daughter.
Have looked back at census, marriages etc. and have noted the following. Henry Runnacles married a Catherine Skinner 1870 Depwade, Norfolk and on 1871 Census are living with his parents and baby Sarah. In 1873 Catherine died and in 1875 Henry remarried to Louisa Fleming with whom he had 3 sons i.e. Harry bc.1876, William bc.1877 and Robert bc.1880. Harry did not marry until 1898 and in 1901 William and Robert are still single. As Ellen Maud is registered as Runnacles I would suspect that she is the daughter of Sarah who was Henry's only daughter.
However, can't find her on 1901 census.

Thanks for all the help so far, it never occured to me that she could be Sarahs daughter. I think that Sarah did marry a George Alfred Frost in 1898 (possibly in Little Livermere) but as I can't find them in the 1901 census I can't be sure. I'm still hoping someone may have access to Parish Records to confirm what I have so far. I have over 600 names in my extended tree now and I'm afraid I can't afford to buy certificates for confirmation purposes on all of them. Thanks once again for your help
