Hi l wonder if sks would very kindly look for the following on either the 1891 or 1901 census?
l have them on 1881 census living in Rede.

Robert LEECH born 1818 Timworth
Sophia (wife) born 1814 Ickworth
Ernest W Leech (Grandson) born 1869 Rede

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Like you l had searched for Roberts death on freebmd with no success, l am also having trouble finding out who Ernest Leech`s parents were?

Ernest was with his grandparents in 1871 - maybe the answer ids to purchase the marriage cert-which should tell who is father is -unless of course he is illegit.

Do you have the children of Robert and Sophia to see if there are any likely candidates???

also wonder if Roberts name was mistranscribed at death???

Like you l have puzzled over who Ernest is, Robert & Sophia have a son named Frederick who disapears after the 61 census, maybe he was the father?

Back to the drawing board on this one Huh
