1841 & 51 Census Lookup please HATCHER

I am looking for details please of a:

JOSEPH HATCHER abt. 1835 and I believe he was born Northampton

I know he married in 1859 in Huntingdon and that is the limit of my knowledge - not a lot to go on I know, but here's hoping.

it looks more like publican than butcher in 1841
could SKS give a second opinion.

You are right woozle it is most certainly PUBLICAN on the 1841
for occupation for Richard.

Bad news is his name is Slatcher from the N.M.I.

Joseph Slatcher/Hatcher marries in the Oundle Reg District in Dec Qtr 1859.

So which spelling is correct.

The births of the Polebrooke children are registerred as SLATCHER

You need the 1859 Huntingdon marriage certificate if you are sure that Joseph is yours.

Only reference on originals images on both the above and A****
is Joseph Slatcher and Hatcher both marrying L Bletsoe in Oundle Reg.

None for Huntingdon.

No, I didn't look for the marriage, lashmar said that Joseph married 1859 in Huntingdon in original post.

Just looked on FreeBMD, Joseph Slatcher and Joseph Hatcher are there, same ref as Letitia Bletsoe, Dec q 1859.

The marriage could have been in Huntingdonshire, as a few Hunts parishes are in Oundle registration district, though not Huntingdon itself of course.

I agree that some Hunts parishes were also in Oundle Registration District Marilyn.
