Hi Longberry

Could you perhaps tell us what part of Caithness she and Alexander where? Dates of marriage and any children that they had might help.

I don't see a marriage for them in Caithness 1795-1820.

I've found these children on the IGI, extracted. All born Bower:

1 May 1803 - Alexander
1 Dec 1805 - Janet
21 June 1808 - James
9 May 1811 - John

Is this the correct family?

There appears to be this one on the 1841, Keiss, Wick

Parish 43 ED 11 Page 3

Isabella Harper, 70-74, Independant, b. County

Is this her?

There are also two Isabel/la Dondaldsons - one 66 and one 70-74 but they don't seem to fit with the info that I've managed to obtain  Roll Eyes

Nice to hear from you again. They were married in Bower in 1802.
The children I have  are:
James 1808 - 1885
Alexander 1803
John 1808
Andrew 1815 - 1898
That is all I have for them

The only Isabel Donaldson who appears in Bower is the one bpt 18 April 1756 -. Father Alexander. It's too early. If Andrew was born 1815, then she would be at the most 50 then.

There was an Alexander Donaldson and Margaret Dunnet having children around then.

Could she possibly be this one - Isabel and Elizabeth were sometimes interchangeable:

Elisabeth Donaldson - bpt Bower 8 April 1768. Parents-  Alexander Dondaldson and Margaret Dunnet.

It would fit with the 1841 census info that I found earlier.

Hi Eric

If it is relevant to the thread, it is always best to put up information on the thread. It may be of use to others who may see it. Also, others who are helping Frank might be saved unnecessary work.

Hi Gadget
The problem is the info is in a word format, comprising 8 pages
I did not think you could add that much data to this file
