Hi Val19, I am the grand-daughter of Thomas Broomhall b.1866. My mother was born 1910 . she and her two brothers were children from his second marriage to Mary Ann Proctor. At the time of their marriage in 1905 his father who was also named Thomas had died. Both were 'gun action filers' They were married at St. Saviours Church, Saltley, Birmingham. and he lived at 52, Adderley Road

Hiya Dee, are you related to the person who emailed me about this? I am the grandaughter of Thomas's brother Mark Broomhall born 1897. I think your Thomas born 1866 is my grandfathers half brother, I have him as a maybe in my tree as I am still a bit unsure if Thomas Broomhall born 1839 was married to the first wife I have as a maybel. ( confusing or what!) I know St Saviours church from my childhood, and I know where Adderley Road is. Do you have a tree anywhere we can compare?

Hello Val, Yes it was my nephew who first contacted you about Thomas Broomhall. I haven't a tree as such for you to look at, the research we have been doing up to now as mainly been on my grand-mother (His 2nd wife)
My mother had a  step brother and sisters from his first marriage to Ann.
We went into the 1891 census, found his household (3 Curzon St) He was 25 at the time and Ann was 23. They had 3 children then, Lilly the eldest and then George and Ann( I knew George and Ann they were my mothers step brother and sister) There was also a sister living in the household at that time but who's sister it was I don't know. Her name was Louisa Hortenses aged 27.
A lady by the name of Lily Chattaway Posted a request for info on Thomas Broomhall. She was asking if anyone knew if he had re-married  after his 1st wife Ann had died. Ann died in 1904  4 days after giving birth to Ann Chattaway's mother (Violet).   He married my grand mother in 1905. I did answer her request but never had a reply
If anything I have said helps you at all please keep in touch
Regards, Dee
