William Straughan 1891/1901 Census

Can some kind person track down this missing Straughan for me please.

He is my wifes paternal grandfather, married Mary Ann Kirtley in 1902, I have all her details going back two generations but seem to be stuck on him. I would like to know his possible birth dates and his parents names. His wife was born 1877 so I think he may have been younger than her as he doesn't seem to show in the 1881 census

My next step would obviously be his marriage cert.

Lots of William Straughan around, the marriage certificate would be your best bet to find ages and father Grin

William Straughan married Mary Ann Kirtley dec quarter 1902 Tynemouth Northumberland 10b 349

I have all the details of the marriage, if I could locate him in a census then that would give me a few more clues.

There are a few William Straughans you need the age and a father from the marriage certificate to make sure you have the correct William.
