Chatters,
I collect unusual things I notice in church records and I came across the following in Beverstone GLS Bishop's transcripts:-
"John Warren Gardener to Henry Stephens Esq're of Chavenage was buried Dec'br 1st 1787 "
The BT's of Beverstone do not often give more than a dozen or so entries in the 18th century and I suppose the curate Thomas Hornidge was glad he had something to report
Regards
Chas

Am I being stupid ?
Why is that 'unusual' ... because they noted John Warren's occupation ?
Sorry ... as I say, maybe I'm just thick !

If you had looked at as many thousands of years' entries in BT's and PR's as I have, you would not have asked such a question. Believe you me, it is very unusual especially in BT's which often miss thing written in PR's.
