Looking for my great Aunt Robina. Born Alva 1883, parents Thomas Hall and Isabella Robertson, I have traced her three sisters Isabella Cramb Hall 1881, Christina Hall 1886, and Charlotte (my grandmother) but can find no trace of Robina, have tried Scotlands People but no marriage or death records even tried English records as my grandmother moved to Windsor and I thought that may be a possibility but nothing there either. Last known adds 1891 at 36 James St Alva.
Can anyone help. Thanks regards patvp

Here is Robina with her father Thomas with Janet listed as daughter of Edward and mother to Robina and mother to greatgrand child Edward. Maybe Robina had a child Edward?

Are there two Robina's? The one 1901 with Edward and father Thomas
looks like youres Robina age 9 with father 1891 Robina age 11 with grandparents 1891

Hi down-under..you have to be in Oz!! I am in Qld.
The Robina I spoke about is Robina Sneddon Hall, her parents Thomas Hall and Isabella Robertson, her sisters
Isabella Cramb Hall married William Dryburgh 1905 Alva.
Christina Hall married James Allan 1910 Alva.
Charlotte Hall married Alexander McKay Dunblane (my Gran)
But do not know what happened to Robina !!! cannot find a death or marriage, she could have had a child as have photo's of a "Bunty"in Dunblane, maybe I will have to wait for the 1911 census..
Another problem
Barbara Moir Hall born 1859 to Edward Hall and Robina Sneddon ..this one is quite a LADY...
she is the mother of John Jackson 1883, not Janet as stated in census's. John Jackson (father) signed the birth certificate as being so)
Also mother of Robina H Hall father being George Horne (seaman) he is named on Robina's marriage cert.
She finally made it legal with John Walker in 1886 at Alva had another 2 children on the 1891 census Alexander 1888, Ann 1889..but can't find her in 1901 she and Alexander seem to disappear, Ann Walker and another child Edward 1892 are with their father in 1901 at Alva..cannot find a death for either of them...so she may have done a runner..damned if I know, just can't find her.
Poor old Janet is named in the various census's as being the mother of both John Jackson and Robina H Hall, but I have both their birth cert's and Barbara is their mother.
As I said quite a LADY this one

Forgot to add -
Yes Robina Hall (1880) was the mother of Edward Hall (Janet got blamed for that one too) she had the father JOHN Thomson named 19th Oct 1898 she later married a William L Kemp at Alva in 1901.

Hi Pam -
Robina (1884) is in the 1901 census with her father Thomas and grandfather (head) Edward her son age 2 she must have married William Kemp after the census was taken.
