M Inscriptions for Lynesack, St John

Hello. Here is another small graveyard that covers Butterknowle, Copley, Woodland and the surrounding area.
It is a well kept churchyard although some of the stones are effected with lichen and are difficult to read.
One again the names that are in brackets show they are on the same stone as the previous name.

In loving memory of Eleanor Blackett, the beloved wife of William Blackett, who died February/11/1889 aged 44 years.
Also William Blackett, husband of the above who died October/10?/1894 aged 50 years.

In loving memory of William Blackett, who died March/20/1897
aged 70? years.
Also Cuthbert, son of the above who died October/30/1898 age 62 years.
Also Margaret, wife of the above who diedDecember/22/1901 age 81 years.

In loving memory of Ezra Blackett, beloved son of Brian and Sarah Ann Blackett, who was killed at Storey Lodge Colliery August/36/1898 aged 19 years.

In loving memory of Edward Blackett, beloved husband of Rachael? Blackett of Woodland, who died October/23/1916 aged 74 years.

In loving memory of John, beloved husband of Martha Blackett,
Slack, Butterknowle, who died July/1/1911 aged 70 years.
Also of the above Martha Blackett, who died June/19/1916 aged 75 years.

In loving memory of Joseph, the beloved husband of Sarah Blackett, who died February/24/1913 aged 56 years.

In loving memory of our dear mother Margaret Ann Blackett, of Fox? House, Wham, Butterknowle. Who died November3/1916 aged 54 years.
Also George Blackett, son of the above who diedMarch/16/1904 aged 15 years.
Also of our father, George Blackett, husband of the above who died March/16/1934 aged 72 years.

In loving memory of Robert Brunskill of Blue? House, Lands? who died January/8/1901 aged 79 years?(could be 39)
Also Elizabeth Brunskill the beloved wife of the above who died May/18/1902 aged 32 years ( could be 82)
Also Rachael? daughter of the above who died October/16/1872 aged 13? years. (sorry about the dates on this one. The dreaded lichen as struck.)

In memory of Arthur, son of John and Elizabeth Firbank, who died July/19/1893 age 7? could be 7 1/2 years.

In affectionate remembrance of Mary Ann, beloved wife of Thomas Firbank, Salterburn, Butterknowle, who died January/26/1897 aged 49? years..
Also the above Thomas Firbank, who died December/4/1915 aged 71 years. (Although this gravestone was in very good condition the ages were difficult to decipher)


In loving memory of Kathleen, who died 1895 and of Fanny Hunter, who died September/14/1896, both in their 21st year.
Beloved daughters of John Skelton and Mary Robson.

In affectionate Remembrance of the beloved wife of Joseph Liddle, who died April/15/1875? age 40 years.
Also of Sarah, daughter of the above, who died March/23/1869 aged 17 years.
Also Alice, daughter of the above who died in infancy.
Also Joseph Liddle, who died February/19/1890 aged 59 years.

In loving memory of Sarah, the beloved and affectionate wife of William Jackson, of Low Butterknowle Farm, who died November/27/1896 aged 52 years.
Also William, son of the above who died May/21/1862 aged 1 year.
Also of Sarah Ethel, daughter of the above who died NOvember/26/1884 aged 14 days.
Also William Jackson, who died November/14/1902 age 69 years.

In loving memory of Emma Jane, daughter of George and Jane Jackson, who died March/9/18999 aged 28 years.
Also Alfred their son, who died Dec?/30/1977? age 3 years.
Also John George, their son who died November/12?/1882 aged 6 years.
