I'm always interested in unusual first names and wondered what Ettie was short form for and did a google and found that it is a "pet" name for Ethel or Esther ......but it's not a short form/nickname in this case.....it is her name.....found her on Free BMD  Smiley Loverly  Cheesy

Well done     Smiley   Smiley for finding my lost family

Thank you for that very much appreciated..   Smiley

 Cheesy
now as for my user name - without wanting to preach I use it because it is a reality and testament for me.

I had been so lost & hurting and ended up alone on a beach. Fearful of nothing to look forward to and afraid of the desperate lonliness I was feeling.

I did shout out [to the empty beach as I thought then]. and over the next few days something happened to me.... I was given hope and a promise.
I later came to understand what had occured as a reality in my life

"Then God comes and stands with you on that desolate beach, answering you with words recorded in Isaiah 62, verse 4

No longer[, God says, no longer] will they call you Deserted,
[No longer will they] name your land Desolate.

But you will be called Hephzibah,
and your land Beulah.

Hephzibah means “my delight is in you.” Beulah means “married.”

God is transforming you from an unmarried woman who is desolate and deserted by society now you are His delight.

God answered my prayer through Jesus Christ. Where once you could’ve been named Deserted, God calls you “Hephzibah,” my delight is in you. Where once you could’ve been named Desolate, God now calls you “Beulah,” married, the bride of Christ. Where once you were insecure, God gives you eternal security. Where once you had a damaged dignity, God gives you dignity, and sees you as wonderful, beautiful, holy."

I met a wonderful man shortly after this and we were married and we have been so gloriously happy ever since.

I am truly grateful and as a constant reminder of where my help came from I use my long HephzibahBeulah name.

thank you for asking

A little local knowledge, the address would be 14 Ethels Terrace, Buckingham Street, sadly it no longer exists.
