Definitely a puzzler  Huh

I have been pondering what appear to be facts (and getting nowhere with them Cheesy)

Dorothy was born between July and December 1917

Dorothy believed her maiden-name to be Robinson

By the time of her marriage she was known as Dorothy Rose Mary but had lost the Mary by her death

Her mother was a Mary Robinson

She married and died in Chelsea

That I think is it - W G may  be her father, could be Mary's father, brother or completely fictitious if she was illegitimate. If he is her father than it does appear the Chorlton birth could be her - certainly can't see another one. The Westhampnett marriage does not appear to have any Sussex born children before 1920 so time for a trip to Lancashire, but could have been WW1 intervening. Hope the birth certifcate is enlightening. Let us know.
