  Wonder if anyone can help with this marriage look up please..particularly Ellenors maiden name..
     
I'm looking for a William Christie to Ellenor ?  in or around Walker or Gateshead. about 1834.

  In 1841 they are in Walker with sons James 7 and William 1yr.. William (father) is a Roller of Iron, born Northumberland All Saints
      Ellenor is born Gateshead ..

Any help deeply appreciated, Dolly.

Hi,

I see in 1851 they are listed as CHRISTER and Mary RITCHIE, wife's mother, is living with them. I've found this marriage,

William CHRISTER    Mar Q 1839    Gateshead    24  79
Eleanor RITCHIE is one of the names with the same details.


This marriage is also on the IGI,

William CHRISTER
Eleanor RITCHIE
Marriage:  03 FEB 1839   Gateshead, Durham


So is son James b.1834 James CHRISTIE/CHRISTER, William's son from a previous marriage or James RITCHIE an illegitimate child of Eleanor  Undecided

 Many thank's Daisy,   I actually did find Eleanors maiden name through the IGI . I should have posted a "found" on Roots so please forgive me ..
    This info was for my Grandaughters Mo in law at the time, whom I was trying to help out.. anyway Bless you for taking the trouble after all this time.. Dolly
