Hi can any help me in finding Richard Preston's wife's last name? her Name is Charlotte.
Their childrens names are Richard,charlotte, thomas. mary and james.
Charlotte was born 1810? newington?

Hi Genie, can only find them on the England census 1851, Berkshire england.

OK, so now we've got something to go on.
Ref: HO107, Piece 1685, Folio 365 Page 55
I see that they are living in Newbury, Berks., Charlotte was born in Newbury but Richard was born in Andover, Hants. as was the eldest son Richard b. about 1836.
They probably got married in 1836 or earlier. Too early for national registration so I suggest you to try for their marriage on Parish Registers in Hampshire or Berkshire.
I don't see their marriage on the IGI.

I was born in England but I'm in Toronto, Canada and it's way past my bedtime 
I'm guessing you are in NZ or Auzzieland.
