I have offered to help an old lady with her family history, she is over 80 and has information she received in the 1960's so there must be more out there somewhere.
The earliest she has is John Bush - born 1827 - married Ruth Hawkins - also born 1827, they married in 1849.
I believe they must have been born in London, some of their children were born in Islington. I believe all the children were born in London.
Ruth was a daughter of William Hawkins (born October 1789) and his wife Ester (born 11 November 1787). They married in 1814.
Their children were
1..Sarah born, died 1851
2.. John born 1852, married Lizzie Trace
3..Ruth married Alfred Heaseman
4.. Fanny married schoolteacher Charles Ward
5...Alison married Fred Cousins
6...Sarah born 1860 married George Tuggy, lived in Sussex, no children
7...Amelia, known as Minnie, married James Ashton, 5 children, later married Albert Stevens, had daughter Violet.
8... George married Eliza Thompson, a baker by trade.
9...Elizabeth married David Childs
10...Charles, died in infancy
11..Henry
It was this last child Henry who was the ancestor this lady has been researching, he emigrated in 1886 aged 19 to New Zealand and married a Jessie May Elliott (in NZ)
If anyone can give any history back from John Bush and Ruth Hawkins she would be grateful - I do not think as a pensioner she would be in a position to be sending for certificates of any sort, so just wondered if anyone has any knowledge of these people.
I have Bush ancestry but have not been able to link her with mine - yet!

The IGI has a baptism for Ruth HAWKINS daughter of William & Esther
date of birth 15 May 1827
baptism 27 Sep 1835 at Union Independent, Islington, London, England
As she was 8 years old when she was baptised it's possible she was still born in Trowbridge.
Other children were baptised on the same day
Frances born 22 Oct 1821
Mary Ann born 31 May 1823
Joseph born 24 Mar 1825
Sarah born 12 Apr 1829
Henry born 9 May 1831
Elizabeth born 2 Aug 1833
John born 13 Mar 1836
