Hi Helena could do with a bit more info. I cannot find a birth at the moment for those years or the years between. I cannot see a family of Watsons in Barrowden either.
Do you have any census info for him....

HI Paul,
I'm really limited with my information on John Watson. He joined the Royal West India Rangers on April 24, 1813 at the age of 25. I found his birthplace online through another gentleman researching this John Watson. He, of course, did not have a birth date/year or parents/sibblings. John married Helen Brown [Irish girl]. I don't have a marriage record either. Looks like they married before he came to Canada in 1819 as his wifes' immigration year is the same as his. He died in Feb 1871 and the death record says he was aged 76 years. His religion shows as Roman Catholic.
