Are we talking Staffordshire here or don't you know
There are 2 possibles on the 1841 census - one family in Staffs both born about 1803 and the other family in Warwickshire born about 1796

While I was playing around with this I found these entries
Do you have them and do you know who the parents are (presumably a child of George and Sarah)
Death: George Owen Caddy death registered qrt ending June 1869 6b 18 Age at death = 0
Birth: George Owen Caddy birth registered qrt ending Sep 1869 Wolstanton 6b 100
I imagine that when the first George died the second one was named after him bur couldn't have been same parents
Birth John Owen Caddy Birth registered qrt ending March 1872 Wolstanton 6b 123

Hi Tricia
Thanks for your replay
I have George Caddy & Sarah Ann who had a Son George b 1829 who married an Ann (unknown).
One of their children was John b 1872 and also Thomas who went on to have a Son George Owen b 1879.
Don't know if any of these tie up with what you found?
Regards Jackie

Hi Tricia
Also after reading your information of Sarah Owen and at 49 her being a widow and a pauper. I think I found her death in 1854, registered as Shiffnal.
I think she must have ended up in the workhouse because there was one in Shifnal at that time.
Would there be any records on inmates in workhouses you may know of.
Regards jackie
