It's taken me a while to get this downloaded,  (I could say a naughty word!) so I hope it's good enough for a bit of colour.

Hello Silvery,

It would be better if you can re-scan this nice picture at 300 ppi , it is only 72ppi.

You can have up to a 500k file.

Should you have any problems , take a look at Cazza's tutorial near the top of the board.

Don't forget to use a different file name.

Kali and Dave, they're great, thankyou.   

Jim, I have read the tut a few times, and I'm still struggling.   Nowhere really tells me how big in MBs I am making it.  And I've set the scanner to 300dpi.  Maybe I'll give it a break for tonight.

After you have a scanned file, right click and choose properties. It will tell you how big it is.

 Angry Angry Angry  think I'm working with the bytes the wrong way round  Huh  MB and KB swapped.  Is this one 300dpi?

I don't understand at all either, as yet..... Grin  But I will.

Those colours are perfect Rog.    Although, looking again,
are the eyes brown?
She had sort of grey eyes.  Would that be too much to ask?

It's me mum, we think the frock was pink, but actually sis and I can't quite remember, it was 1962.
