Hi Patrish,
Thankyou for looking.
George DAVIS - Occupation is of General Labourer on Mary`s Birth Certificate.
However on Mary`s marriage cert his occupation is given as a Clerk.
`er quite a promotion or just wishful thinking? ??

Personally I doubt whether a General Labourer would become a Clerk

Hi Debbie
Great result - thankyou for the information, it all appears to fit especially with your information of the 1861Census and the first born Wm George Davis. I had only recently been told that Mary had an older brother, now you have discovered other siblings. I can`t thankyou enough!

Hi Carol,
Thankyou for the additional information. Interesting to see Phoebe adding a few extra years to her age on the 1861 census!
What a difference a birth certificate has made! Thank`s for the advice. It has certainly taught me a lesson in not to skip the basics.
