For information in case you don't have it

I have found the following in the 1841 census living in Bridlington with John as a Surgeon. All shown as born in Yorkshire

Elizabeth - born 1780
John - 68yrs - surgeon
William 35yrs - draper
Frederic 28yrs - seaman
Holtly 13........name not clear in actual scan
Also living there is Elizabeth Waines 21 yrs. - looks like "FS" = female servant ?

hi Gillbill

Here is a great webpage for searching batch numbers from the LDS site. When you saw the christing of Elizabeth Holtby 18/11/1779 - father William - at the bottom of that page is the batch number.

If you go to this site (below) and look for Yorkshire A-D ....go to Bridlington and look for batch No. C 105873.  Its in blue...click and another page opens. Type HOLTBY as the name and the search button and there are the other Holtbys for you to look at - there appears to be a few. The "C" prefix to the batch numbers are for christings and "M" for marriages.

A look at M 105873 does not show any marriage in that church with John Morris around 1800.
There are quite a few " Morris" families if you look at the Flamborough sections of the site. look at births under batch No C 105932 Flamborough - John is there as 7/3/1773. - father William plus others births

Hope this helps. happy hunting.
