Theres an Henry Livesey aged 23 from Euxton, Lancashire. Euxton is actually a small village near Chorley and Leyland that tends to get associated with those bigger towns.

Hi

There appears to be two Henry Liveseys in the area - one born Chorley who marries Elizabeth (Migky's Henry?) and another born Euxton married to an Alice in 1871 missing in 61 and possibly the one Stephen has found in 51?

I can see a Chorley Henry in 41 father George mother Sara with a probable brother Louis a wheelwright - does migky have this already? Can post if not.

Still looking in 51 for another Henry

I have some distant Gent cousins from the Chorley area, although no Ann Gent, at least not that early in the 19th Century.

I cannot find Henry in 1851. Neither can I find any record of his brother, John after 1841. Brother’s Lewis and George both seem to be readily available on several censuses. William is also missing but I think the death registered in 1843 might possibly be him. His age is shown as 30 (on the following site) which ties in with his baptism details.

On http://www.lan-opc.org.uk/indexp.html...

....the Baptism records for all five of George and Ann‘s sons indicate that their father (George) was a Warper. The Baptisms took place at St Laurence, Chorley and the dates all tie in with those shown in IGI Batch P005702

The Marriage record for George Livesey and Ann Gent, at St Laurence, Chorley, indicates that George was a Weaver.

This seems to suggest that the 1851 entry which shows him as a Warper and the 1841 entry (above) which shows him as a Weaver, do refer to the same person (even though his wife is shown as Mary in 1851). The fact that his son George (Shoe Maker) is living with them in 1851 also supports this view.

Perhaps someone else will have more luck in finding Henry in 1851.

Sorry

There's a marriage of a Henry Livesey and Elizabeth Ramsden at St Peter's in Bolton in 1852, which would fit the children's ages.

Quite a possibility for people ending up in Horwich.

The marriage entry might give addresses. It's not that far after 1851.

Hi

There is an Elizabeth Ramsden born Colne c1831 living in 8 Chapel Alley Great Bolton with siblings and mother Alice in 1851 HO107/2211/360 Pg12. Right age and place of birth to be the one who married Henry.
