Could anyone look up a George L Coombe who came to Australia in abt 1854 aged abt 21. He was born in Exeter, Devon,England so could have come from there.

I dont know much else but he married in Sydney in 1857. His parents were John Coombe and Mary Lascelles.

The link to go to margaret dee's family failed and went nowhere, so what can i do now?
Also george L coombe had a son George L born in 1861 so it is possibly his marriage. May I have it please???

Well if you click on to the link I gave you..and search the link of Immigrants arriving Sydney ...you will see what could be Margaret Dee's mother and family [family members are not named]. Of course this may not be her family at all.
You have been given the links to the NSW bdm and you can search there for George's birth and possibly marriage.
I am more than happy to search for bdm's if they aren't online ie only available on disk. But for you to progress with your research I feel you need to have a search for yourself....especially if you have been given the url's. Don't hesitate to ask for help if you are having difficulty with - I am sure someone will guide you.

I got the link to work today and saw 2 entries for Dee. One could be her and one could be her family coming out later.
My Margaret Dee was married that year the family came out so could be her mother Margaret and family.
Thanks for the help not sure where to go now.

I have the marriage of George L coombe in 1857 in Sydney ,his death , and children of marriage.and the history down to me.
I wanted his date of entering Aust which tropicalj gave me (see above) but I haven't his birth in Exeter,Devon England abt 1833.
I know his parents were John and Mary.
The other George L is his son marrying in 1861.

There is a baptism in Jun 1834 in Exeter, Devon for a George COOMBS on IGI.
