Hi All,


Just a thought.......... but is there any way of finding out who lived in Knockusion Street (I hope that is the correct spelling) in Givan between 1881 - 1900's?

Some of my Gillespie descendants lived in that Street and one family lived at number 21.

You can search ancestry by address.  If you're specifically looking for just Gillespies there are a couple in 1891 with no street number...

Registration district: Girvan 
Civil Parish: Girvan 
Town: Girvan 
County: Ayrshire 
Address: Knockushion St 

Jane Gillespie, age 29 wife, b. Dunbar, Haddingtonshire 
Thomas Gillespie, age 29, head, b. Girvan, Ayshire, occ: Tailor 

and a family at number 21 in 1891 like so:

Registration district: Girvan 
Civil Parish: Girvan 
Town: Girvan 
County: Ayrshire 
Address: 21 Knockushion St 

William Bain, age  7 1/2, grandson, b. girvan 
Lizzie Gillespie age, 34, daughter, b. girvan 
Margaret Gillespie, age 60, head, b. girvan 
John McMurtrie, age 15, boarder, b. girvan 
Maggie McMurtrie, age 6, boarder, b. girvan 
Thomas McMurtrie, age 19, b. girvan
