Please could anyone help me with any information on my g.grandparents. My grandmothers name was Louisa Holdsworth born October 1901 Hunslet Leeds west Yorkshire. On my grandmothers birth certificate it states that her father, William Holdsworth , was a steam crane driver. I have information that William and Mary were married in sept qtr 1883 hunslet 9b 365. Any info would be very much appreciated. babsjane

Hi Suz
It could be them maybe Mary was know to hubby as maria. The address that is on my grandmothers certificate is Askern Place, Hunslet, Leeds. Same area. People seem to move around a lot years ago. My mums mum moved to about 4 houses in the same street!!! babsjane

Just checked the next page on 1901 and it is definately Askern Place
so the Holdsworth household is Askern place -follows on from Rylestone grove
would think this confirms we have the correct family -and in 1891 "maria" is "mary Ann"
