1851 age 3 born in Tickton East Yorkshire living Tickton and Hull Bridge source Ancestry
1861 age 12 born Tickton, living in Cottingham, Ancestry
1871 cannot find on Ancestry
1881 age 33 born in Tickton, living in Cottingham, Ancestry
1891 age 43 born in Tickton, living in Cottingham, Ancestry
1901 age 53 born in Tickton, living in Cottingham, Ancestry
On at least one census Ancestry has Tickton down as Pickton

Can anone find him in 1871

Appears the enumerator must have had a bad day, from the third entry on the page they have dittoed Lancashire to the bottom of the page although there is an annotation in the end column "York"

I had tried various permutations but made the mistake of keeping Yorkshire in the county.

Would it be correct to say this would be known to members of the local genealogical society, one reason to join I suppose.

It turned out to be the wrong Allisons after all
