I expect Robert is 57 in 1871 -but it does look like 37?Huh

Espin Pickard and mary did have a daughter Annie -but she was age 9 in 1891 b Harewood Yorks!!!!!

the member submitted entries on IGI are not checked -basically anything can be entered - as long as you link it up to someone!!!!

My grandfather and his sisters are the children of their aunt and uncle according to IGI (member submitted) -and siblings of their cousins -and they never appear on any census with their aunt and uncle -so another case of Once upon a time....

Well, as it turns out Espin was his own father and married his own mother.... Grin

Espin Pickard

Father:  Espin Pickard
Mother:  Mary Newby

Marriages:
  Spouse:  Mary Newby
Marriage:  01 AUG 1875   Ripon, Yorkshire, England

OK, I'll shut up about Espin-the-red-herring now.

Robert's age is not correct- should be 57.

Suz

A bizarre one indeed!

FWIW, another IGI submission (perhaps less fanciful):

SARAH JANE BURLISON

Birth:  02 JUN 1843   Horton By Bradford, Yorkshire, England

ROBERT BURLISON
ANN CLAYTON

Good morning Marontog

If you send for the certificate for the marriage of Sarah Jane and John Lambert in 1874, you can ask them to check her father's name is Robert; if it's not they don't send it and they refund you about half the cost.
