Hi
You don't say whereabouts in Ross and Cromarty he was. This might help us to with a birth/marriage/death search. Also who did marry?
Regards

The 1861 census has them in Wester Ord, parish of Rosskeen.
I've not found any bMDs for him yet but, according to daughter Alexandrina's birth registration, they were married January 16 1850 at Rosskeen. This might not be in the registers if they were not married by a Ch of Scotland minister. Scottishlaw recognised various types of marriage.
first son was Finlay and second daughter was Janet so it might be worth looking for these names as parents of Alexander.
I'll do some more looking around.

The IGI has a birth 9th October 1823, Logie Easter, Alexander Graham. Parents Simon Graham and Janet Chisholm.
I noticed on at least one of the censuses that his birthdate was circa 1823. This is an extracted record so it is very reliable.

I think that that was a patron submission, Osserick, and not to be treated as fact- and very often wishful thinking on the part of the submitter. The only one in the OPRs is the 1823 one(as Ghram)
I've found this entry which is quite interesting. it might be an elder brother or father and second wife. Note the Fin(dl)ay : 1841 Logie Easter: 77 ED 4 Page 13
Simon Graham, 40-44, Ag lab Ann, 36 Finlay, 10 William,8, Andrew, 6 Sarah, 4 Isabella, 1 Archibald Fraser, 30, ag lab
All b. Ross & Cromarty

Simon Graham and Anne Ross are down as the parents of Finlay Graham, bpt. 4 Oct 1830, Logie Easter.
Nothing for Simon Graham and Janet Chisholm after the bpt of Alexander in 1823.

You'd have to follow them all up to find out or check OPRs.
Alexander would be 15-19. The 1841 rounded down to 5 year age groupings for those 15 and over.
Are you sure that this is your Alexander? Have you checked that there isn't another one on the 1851? The Finlay looks promising.

Where did his children live around 1901 - I can't see anything for his death and wonder if he went to live with one of them.
I haven't tried a full wild card search yet

There might be Kirk Sessions Minutes or they might have been Roman Catholic (not too good on those records) . Otherwise, they could declare in front of witnesses and this would be accepted as a mariage in Scots Law or........
