Ivy Maud Dando - Vanished!!

Hi there,

I'm trying to trace my great grandmother - Ivy Maud Dando.  I have her birth record and census records up to 1901.  But after she gave birth to my grandad - she disapears.  I cant locate any death records etc, she literally vanishes! 

Name:  Ivy Maud Dando 
Born:    Sep 1894, Hereford

Son:     Roy Brown Dando
Born:   May 1919, Hereford

Rumours are that she left Hereford to go to London as she was a nurse.  But I've since found out that she was a police constable in 1915.  So I dont know how valid the London information is.

Other rumours are that her son Roy was left to live with an uncle - as she gave birth out of wedlock.  Again I dont know how valid this information is and neither can i confirm where Roy grew up.

Ivy's father is listed as living in Hereford from the 1881 census.  His details are as follows:

Name:  Ernest James Dando
Born:   abt 1872, Upton St Leonard, Gloucester
Occ:     Clerk, Hereford Tile Manufacturer

If anyone can help at all, I would be really pleased!!  Grin
