1910 Census (and beyond): Mathias RETZLER in Philadelphia
« on: Saturday 28 June 08 21:17 BST (UK) »

I'm looking for a Mathias RETZLER, born c.1883 in Hungary (later part of Romania), who emigrated to Philadelphia in 1907 and was married that year to a woman with the surname GYORY (the Philadelphia marriage index at search.labs.familysearch.org conveniently omits her, so I don't know her first name).

I found the ship manifest which features him and his destination was his "broth. in law BRAUN Niklas" in Philadelphia. Nickolaus BRAUN was my great-uncle, but I've never heard of this RETZLER, so I'm trying to figure out the connection. Thanks!

Hey - thanks so much!

I wish I could figure out the Braun connection, unless he was merely bluffing about his exact relationship to Nickolaus. Well, we'll see.
