One of my Ancestors gives her place of birth on the 1851
Census as Browsholm, Lancashire

I know that Browsholme is the home of the Parker family
and I believe they had tenants on their land.

What church would a person living in Browsholm use in
the late 1700s for baptisms

She married into a Catholic family so the church may or may
not be the parish church.

As you mentioned, the Parkers own the Browsholme estate and the church associated with the family was and I suppose still is, St Helen`s Church at Waddington ( Cof E ) near Clitheroe. The parish church ( C of E ) in Clitheroe is St Mary Magdalen.
The nearest Roman Catholic Church to Browsholme would be either St Peter`s Church at Stonyhurst adjacent to Stonyhurst College near the village of Hurst Green or St Michael and St John`s RC Church in Clitheroe. SS Michael and John`s was founded in 1797 and according to the website below, quote " The parish was founded from Stonyhurst in 1797, from where a priest used to commute until 1840, when a resident priest was appointed. "

There are plenty of people with Browsholme addresses in the Whitewell registers.

There is a Catholic church just outside Dunsop Bridge on the Trough road. Can't think what Saint it is. I think (in church terms) its' relatively modern - late 19th century? Huh

One of my (distant) Marsdens is buried there.

Thanks for reminding me about Dunsop...it's not that far away.

It's St. Hubert's at Dunsop....I believe said church had something to do with the Thorneyholme Estate from memory, but you should check....

" This small but magnificent church was built to the design of Edward Pugin, from, it is believed, the winnings of the racehorse Kettledrum in the Derby 1861 owned by Col. Towneley.
Until then the Catholics in the Hodder Valley attended Mass in the chapel of Thorneyholme Hall, then the home of the Towneley family and part of their Whitewell Estate. Col. Charles Towneley had the church and the nearby Thorneyholme R.C. primary school built on land belonging to the estate. "

Thanks for all the information I was looking at the Downham
Church as a possible ?
I was also looking at the St Mary Magdalene because this is
where they married.

The Lady in question marries into a Catholic Family and all
the children are baptised as Catholics but I am not
completely sure if she was one before marriage.
