Hullo.   I am searching for Mary Anne (or Ann) Winter/s (father William Winters, England) (mother Louisa nee Wild).  Married 17.9.1883 ?? in Sydney to Thomas Frederick Griffith.  I am interested to know her date of death and where buried.   Hope you can help.  Thank you.

By now you will have looked at the introductory information about ROOTSCHAT including the HELP and WELCOME headings at the very top of the page.  Hopefully you will be getting your bearings about the nature of the recipcrocity of the Board.

Cando has given you the link to the NSW birth/marriage/death website in another one of your threads and with this GRIFFITH request, you should begin by using it to see what you can find for yourself.

Let us know, please what you come up with from there, then we can maybe go further.

Have search the BDMs but there is no record of this lady who family 'feedbacks' say was the first wife of Thomas Frederick Griffith

Well, on the BMD the marriage is there - 1883, Thomas misindexed as 'Thomas T'. Is the 1885 marriage in Newtown, Thomas F. Griffith to Eliza Taaffe, also your Thomas?

On the BMD index there's also a Mary A. Griffiths, died in 1883 aged 21 in Sydney. Parents names are not given in index. Could this be your Mary?  As there do not seem to be any children born to Thomas/Mary, she may have died very soon after the marriage.

From the 1871 census of Birmingham, there is a Mary A Winters, aged 9, daughter to William and Louisa (who married in 1855 in Birmingham). Therefore the age also matches. However, this Mary is still with her family in 1881 - you might try looking for a 1881-1883 passenger list for her.
