St Bartholomews, Salford, Manchester

Hello everyone.  Has anyone got a picture of this church.  i have looked on the internet and can't find one. One from the late 1800s would be lovely but a modern one is just as welcome.  thanks

Hi, i have looked at many of the books i have but could not see a picture for you sorry to say. It might be worth contacting Salford local history library and asking them. They don't charge much for photo copies.

Why not google for the email address of  local library in Salford, the Local studies section, and ask them if they'd be kind enough to scan and send you a picture of the church.
be very surprised if they don't help you.

Hi Loislane

St.Bartholomews was demolished and merged with St.Clements, and there is only the one pic, which appears on the Manchester site given by Annie.

I have been hunting for a pic of this for years now, and that is the only one I can find.

I am really glad that I posted the message as my intention wass to go to the area to take my own picture.  Now i am left wondering why they needed to demolish it, but at least I have an old picture thanks to Annie and the rest of you good people.
