Parish Records for Washingley
« on: Monday 30 June 08 07:03 BST (UK) »

Hi All

Trying to piece together the family of Thomas and Caroline JACKSON of Washingley.

I know they had at least :-  Harriet, Edward, William, Kitty, Charlotte and Mary.  But I think there may have been more.

If anyone has access to the Parish Records for the Washingley area I would appreciate a lookup for this lot please.

Many thanks

Got any dates?

Genuki says "There are no church records for Washingley. The inhabitants used Caldecote and Folkesworth parish churches."

Transcriptions for these parishes are available from Hunts FHS on fiche, but are not on the IGI or BVRI

Hi David

Many thanks for your reply.  I would go Caldecote as the most likely as I have seen it used as a birthplace for one of them on a Census.

We are talking between 1834 -ish to 1850 -ish.

I have everything I need from Census, but not birth or baptism details for these people.  I do have a couple of marriages -- years only taken from FreeBMD and when I am rich I will order some certificates... but mostly I would like to know if I have all the children for Thomas and Caroline.

Thanks again
