There is only one mention in the Carlisle marriage licence books.  I think you might have it already since it concerns an Ellwood marriage:

25 Nov 1752
Robt Marshall, Dufton, sch-mr
Agnes Elwood, Sand Riggs, Dufton, spr
bondsman: Thomas Tuer, Dufton, yeo
Her mother consents, her father being dead
Marriage to take place at Dufton

There are some Towry entries which I thought might possibly be another spelling but none seem to relate to Dufton so I assume not relevant.
