I'm looking for the birthplace of Henry Barnes, he married in Cradley Worc 1872. his wife was Ann Caradine ( Worton) Henry was a labourer. his fathers name was Thomas also a lab. I would be very grateful for any information which would help me get on with my family tree. thanks Kader

If you check earlier census, 1861 and 1851, you should get some info on where he was born- place and county. That would be a start I'd think. Do you know how old he was when he married?

Hi charlotte Thankyou for your reply. Henry was 22years when he married on march 31st 1872.
He died 22 July of the same year.
I have struggled to find him on the 1851 census. As there are so many with a father named Thomas and cannot identify the right one, it's so frustrating. Rubz

In 1861 Henry would have been 11 so most likley living with hsi parents- as you have his father's name why not look for a census entry with father & son on it? Bit laboriuos work but may help sort out the candidtaes for you. can't think of another approach. charlotte
