Hi All, I have always been irritated by the search tool of Brisbane regional cemetery search which has required you to compulsorily enter not only surname, but at least the first letter of the given name. This was really annoying when you didn't know the given name.
I once sent a long email to complain.
Anyhow, maybe I am the last to notice, but guess what!! it's changed. You can now search by surname. I for one am delighted. Sue

Sue I think it happened over the weekend as the search was bringing up error notices and then suddenly when it was available I noticed you no longer had to enter a letter from the given name. I noticed it when doing the HIGGANS thread.
Oh we find them all eventually oh and I also had a grizzle via email.
Cheers Cando

I too had been annoyed by that previous requirement, and am delighted to know it has changed!
Well done Sue and cando, your emails probably helped to bring about the change!

This is a great improvement. It used to irritate me too. The amount of times I've written in the surname and then searched for christian names starting with a, then b then c, d, e, f, .....
Thanks for letting us know Sue - but shame I've already found all mine .

It is:

Have a wander through the Australia Resources board, Jean. It has this and much, much more - a treasure trove!

Thanks Sue
When I go to Toowong, the office there was able to search by surname only - I guess it was resource usage that kept it off the net - but I have many times gone through the alphabet looking for folks - so lovely that it's changed. I didn't think to email them so thank you to everyone who did
