LANCASHIRE FUSILIERS help needed please
« on: Tuesday 01 July 08 20:42 BST (UK) »

Hi Everyone,
I have attached a photo of my grandmother ANNIE TERRY B1890 Bury Lancashire. As you see she is wearing a uniform and using a magnifying  glass I believe the cap badge to be that of the Lancashire fusiliers but the uniform does not look right and why is she wearing it ?
Can anyone tell me anything about the uniform ?Do you think she is  just wearing a Great coat and cap belonging to someone else ?
What is the insignia at the v of her dress?
Any thoughts greatly appreciated
Kath
Sorry do not seem to be able to attatch photo .If anyone thinks they can help me send me a PM and I will email you the photo
Thank you

Hi Kath...

No photo Grin

Also - you might have more luck posting on the armed forces board.   Those military gurus love nothing better than squinting at badges on grainy old photos Grin Grin Grin

Hi Milly

If it doesn't attach, make sure it's saved in one of the forms listed when you press the attach button.

Also make sure the file is smaller than the 500kb permitted.  If not, open it in your imaging software, and click the "Save for web" or similar option, or similar.  In my software, it's on the file dropdown mmenu.

Follow the instructions.  You might have to reduce the size again.

Good luck!
